Happy Book Birthday!

Happy New Year, everyone! I hope 2022 has begun well for you. Mine has been quite busy, juggling work and book duties, but I am excited to see what this year holds! I’m praying for a safe, happy, and healthy new year for us all.

I have quite a bit of book news to share with you today. A few days ago, I finished writing the first draft of the fifth book in the Ladies of Roderick Glen series! There is still much polishing and editing to be done, of course, but I’m thrilled and relieved to have the story out of my head and on paper.

Many of you may know that I had originally planned for 8 books in the series, but I’m excited to share that I am going to add a novella to the series, as well! It will be a Christmas novella and will feature one of Roderick Glen’s most popular citizens. Even though it will be the next book I write, it will be a while before it’s in your hands, as it will fall chronologically after Book 5, but I’ll give you updates on my progress along the way.

Speaking of books that will soon be in your hands, now that I’ve finished writing Book 5, I can turn my attention to editing and finishing Book 3. If you’ve read The Dressmaker, then you probably already have a good guess as to which lady will take center stage in Book 3, but I’ll be doing an official title reveal very soon so stay tuned!

And last but not least, happy book birthday to The Piano Teacher! One year ago today, my debut novel released into the world. I remember feeling both elated and terrified at the same time. I’m thankful for every step of the journey along the way, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

I’m also so incredibly grateful for you, my readers. Thank you for supporting my writing from the beginning. Thank you for falling in love with Roderick Glen and its citizens. I’ll never take for granted the encouragement, support, and kind words I’ve received from you. On days of discouragement, in moments when I wonder if I should even keep writing at all, it’s the thought of you that keeps me going.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Have a wonderful week, friends!
